Well like most hunters I use game cam's mostly for deer season and just a bit pre turkey season . So what do you do with your cameras after season ? throw them in a box ? in the closet ? Well before you do there are a few things to do to insure you have properly working cameras when pre season comes this fall.
1) TAKE OUT BATTERIES... nothing ruins electronics faster then batteries that go bad and leak. Check out the battery cavity for debris, dirt or moisture.. Clean contacts with a Q Tip and rubbing alcohol.
2) Take out SD cards, examine slots, make sure they are free of dirt and moisture .
3) Store them in a sealed box, container and use moisture control packets to ensure no moisture gets into the electronic areas
Follow a few post season care rules for proper working game trail cameras come this fall
